Phlebotomy Technician

 

The Phlebotomy Technician Program is a 4-6 week course designed to effectively train and educate students in all aspects of basic phlebotomy skills including the collection of blood specimens and venipuncture. The Phlebotomy Technician program includes theory and in-person hands-on training. This program is designed for participants who want to advance their careers or are interested in starting a career in the allied health professionals to become a Phlebotomy Technician. After successful completion of the program, students are eligible to test for their national certification exam.

Our phlebotomy program consists of power points, study guides, exams, and hands-on in-person skills training.

Equipment to be used during class is all necessary supplies required to draw blood, including isolation apparel, needles, syringes, tubes, alcohol prep pads, gauze, as well as artificial arms with veins, and other training devices to provide the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform effectively.

Entrance Requirements:

  • Must be 17 years old or older

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Valid government I.D. or Driver's License

  • Internet access from a computer, smartphone, or tablet
