EKG Technician
This is a 4-6 week instructional learning course that includes hands-on skills and practices with EKG equipment that will prepare participants to become EKG Technicians. EKG Technicians perform diagnostic tests which involve recording electrical impulses transmitted by the heart. These tests help doctors to detect and diagnose heart problems.
The EKG course includes an overview of the anatomy and physiology of the heart, medical disease processes, medical terminology, medical ethics, electrocardiography, and stress testing. Upon successful completion of the course, the participant will be eligible to sit for National Certification Exam through the National Health careers Association (NHA) and become a Nationally Certified EKG Technician.
